#IPledgeOrange

The #IPledgeOrange Campaign

Why is the Sikh population displaying insurmountable support and rallying to stop the execution of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana? The fact of the matter is that Sikhs are looking for equal treatment and justice in the so-called secular democracy known as India.

The #IPledgeOrange campaign is focused on getting the message of Bhai Balwant Singh Ji Rajoana out to the masses, his message against a corrupt system that oppresses ethnic minorities.

Who is Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana?

Sentenced to capital punishment in the case of murder of former chief minister Beant was scheduled to be hanged on 31st March 2012 in Patiala. Bhai Sahib, a constable, was a close friend of Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh, a serving police officer in the PUNJAB Police who on 31stAugust, 1995 assassinated the then Chief Minister of Punjab, Beant. CM Beant’s regime carried out brutal and mass level killings of civilian Sikh Population of Punjab. Bhai Dilawar Singh carried out the blast and died during the incident. Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, Bhai Paramjeet Singh Bheora and Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara are the prominent among those charged for assassinating CM Beant. Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana had “openly confessed”an involvement and strongly expressed no faith in Indian judiciary. He refused to defend himself in the court and accepted the sentence. He accused Indian courts for applying dual standards of law and accused India system for shielding culprits of Sikh genocide in 1984.

Why are Sikhs Pledging Orange?

·        To UNITE and show we stand against injustice

·        To DEMOSTRATE our belief and freedom and equality

·        To DISPLAY our love for humanity

Sikhs all over the world have been pledging Orange in full force, organising and attending protests to raise awareness of the atrocities the Indian government have carried out recently and over the years. Bhai Sahib humbly asked the Sikh Nation to hoist Kesri Nishaan Sahib’s outside their homes, shops and on cars to show Solidarity for the Sikh Struggle and to also have Unity in the Panth and Honour the Shaheeds. Sikhs all over the world need to

How we can we Pledge Orange?

·        Hoist Orange Flags outside your homes and on your cars

·        Wear Orange Dastaar, T-Shirt or arm band everyday and get the campaign noticed

·        Sign the petition link at www.ipledgeorange.net in support against these injustices

·        Spread the word in the social media and trend #IPledgeOrange on Facebook and Twitter.

“I refuse to recognise and accept the laws, courts and judicial system of the country which destroyed the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs, SRI AKAAL THAKT SAHIB killed thousands of Sikhs, and whose courts have openly accommodated and supported killers of Sikhs”.

*Bhai Balwant Singh Ji Rajoana*
